Theres a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. Steven Wright

From my experience in the 10+ times I have been out there the fishing isn't very good for the most part. I'm sure when the conditions are right but not when I have went. I have caught more fish out of the gravel pit across the street.

Saw a few guys pull some catfish out during my lunch break. I usually just sit in my truck eating lunch and watch the guys fish, never actually seen anyone pull out anything until today. 1st cat about 3 lbs, 2nd cat about 6 lbs, 3rd probably 1.5 lbs then I left. I hear stories about some pretty nice sized cats out there, never actually seen with my own eyes. I did see a guy threw a cast net and pull out the largest ball of shad I have ever seen.
