Surfside beach is better that Bryan in my opinion
You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I'll take your word on that, seems that no one on this forum knows anything about fishing in the Freeport, Surfside area.

I'll take your word on that, seems that no one on this forum knows anything about fishing in the Freeport, Surfside area. Seems to me the salt guys are not as friendly as the freshwater guys. I asked a simple question about what line guys use down on the salt and no responses. That would have received 20 plus comments on the bass page. Oh well, I'll just use some power pro and be done with it. From what little I know about that area though, the lakes off Christmas and Bastrop bay are doing well for trout.

yea I guess, I mean I have lived down here my whole life and learned new things here and there. So if you need any help I can offer only what I know, but maybe we could start this off and give each other updates of when we go fishing and try to help each other out. so I plan on going out to the intercoastal next weekend and see how my luck is out there. I use "big game" stren monofilament line 17lb test for them big boys when I do manage to catch them by the wa. oh and seanwilliam been hitting any fish lately?
