 Bank fishing but Own a Boat

I've owned a boat for 15 years but still prefer to bank fish. Does anybody body else feel this way or am I crazy?

I don't own a boat but I could (before I bought a 4wd suv, lol). I started bank fishing when I was 10,... as soon as I grew enough upper body strength started fishing with 20 foot bamboo pole for snakeheads... when we had drought here in Texas our lakes for years bank fishing provide lots fun for me and my family. For me, bank fishing is like camping, hiking, golfing, chess, meditation, eyes and mind therapy and an open class room for understanding and appreciation of nature. Some people spend money on golf sets, expensive boat and fishing gears etc., I put my savings on a 4wd vehicle and a few surf rods and reels and lead sinkers so that when I cast my rigs 100+ yards out and watching the line shooting out of my reel, I feel like Tiger Wood. A cooler full of fish to bring home always bring a smile on my wife's face. Yeah I love bank fishing.

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

I own a boat.. But my best way to rip some lip is on the bank somewhere in the wilderness is my true way to enjoy myself

I own a 18 footer and a little 10 footer bass boat. I still enjoy bank fishing. I still get a thrill watching a cork go down.
