Sonar scratches

Hey guys I have my sonar attached using a scupper hole mount and its getting kind of scratched up , should I be worried about this affecting its functionality , how much damage can it take before effecting the image i get back ?

It is pretty tough, as long as you don't have gouges going all the way in to the interior you are fine. I have hit stumps and rocks with the transducers on my bass boats and never had them break.

I agree with Bert. I have all kinds of scratches on my trolling motor xducer and have yet to see a degradation. I'd be concerned if it really gets deep gouges, or looks like someone took a belt sander to it When that happens, I'll just buy another
