I've torn a small hole in my carpet where the trolling motor rests...I don't think all of my carpet needs replaced, and I definitely don't want to spend the money to replace it all.
Is there a way to repair small tears in the deck carpet? I would just leave it like it is, but I'm looking to sell and I don't want to give the buyer something I wouldn't be happy with.

I have heard that you can take a piece of your carpet and glue it down in the spot. You'll have to find some "extra" carpet from under the helm or from under a seat or a rod locker or something. I haven't tried this, but I've heard that is works.

Someone makes a round plastic piece that screws to the deck right where your motor rests.

It's water proof and holds like beast...
