I'm thinking of making a portable pvc rod holders for about 6 rods. Any ideas what yours look like?

For fishing or transporting?

I'm thinking both?

Look in the kayak section on this forum and on other kayak forums they do a lot of DIY pvc set ups for fishing and transport.

I have welded up several using chain link fence pipe.

There are some on ebay made from aluminum. I bought one that hooked on the back of my tool box for travel. It also hooks onto my front bumper and Ive used it several times as a rod holder while river fishing.

I would not trust PVC to hold my gear going down the road.
