Went to California Crossing Sunday but had no luck, I think the current was to swift. Has anyone had any luck lately? I am thinking about going in the morning before work since I don't have to been in till 11. Any pointers on what lure to use?

Keep your eyes open. Bad stuff sometimes happens down there especially at night. My GF spends one weekend a month there at the National Guard Armory and sees things that don't look exactly kosher. Fortunately the State Guard people are allow to carry if they have a CHL.
No way this gringo would be hanging out down there on the weekends when the sun goes down.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
