Anyone had any experience with a 2002 200HP Evinrude RAM Ficht. I know the earlier FICHTs had issues, but were the kinks worked out by 2002?

Thanks

Yes they were beefed up after being bought out by Bombardier to make them more reliable. They were better in 2002. The best years are from 2003 to 2006. I always tell guys looking at buying a Ficht or an E-tec to take off of price for another motor. I have 6 customers using Ficht motors. Main problem we have had is the power distribution box. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40...el&_sacat=0 They will just quit without warning.

Had the seller send me the model #. It is actually a 2001--built in 2000. I assume this means "run away fast."

If it is still running you probably won't have any problems!
