Yesterday i fished from 12 noon to 4 pm and had a great day catching 11 fish ( including 4 doubles ) ... today during my break i decided to go to the other side in search of pre spawners in shallower water . i used old school tight line without alarms to make it more interesting . I casted as far as i could and it was really slow so i brought the rods in to about 25 yards and started getting bites within the half hour . The first hook up felt really heavy after working it in halfway it hit a laydown or some snag and pulled the hook . A while later got another hit on same rod , this one didnt feel as big . Im guessing it was around 8 lbs . As i was waiting i got a little bored and got my worm rod out not really expecting to get hit . I treid to the left of my rods where the dormant grass beds that produce when green and nada . I eased over to the right side of my rods where there were cattails and got bit . It is my first one of the year but spring is when i really get interested in bass and i was happy to get one with the cold water temp. Then my left rod went to pulling and i was able to land a small carp but fun nontheless . heres a few pics
