I got a new TFO signature series 4wt. 8ft today. Need some suggestion a on a reel for it. My thought is anything 4wt and under the reel is just holding the line anyway, but thought I would ask.
Thanks!

I would get as cheap of a forged reel as you can find. The drag system is not very important on a 4wt, but you still want the reel to be durable and hold up to the conditions. A reel like the Lamson Guru 1.0 might be a good fit for what you are looking for. Just my 2 cents! Good Luck!

Joe is not wrong I would just go cheaper and head to cabellas and spend $24 dollars on one and use it till it broke. Prob never will. I have a cple and never had an issue. One has been in the salt and is still great for what it is.

Lamson reels are really good and fairly inexpensive. I've had a lite speed on my 5wt z-axis around 6 years. I've never had any issues with it. Good quality.

Be sure to check the bargain cave. I was in there a couple weeks ago and they had several fly reels in the case!

I bought Abel reels way back and they were the best of the best back then. Is Abel still making reels? Look at them if he is.

Right now Three Rivers Fly Shop has the hard to find Redington Drift reels on sale. They are 40% off of $99.95.

Very nice reel for a Tad under 60 bucks.
