Just broke my second 13 Fishing rod, think I'm done with those! Reels are great but rods have some kind of defect. Anyone have a suggestion for a quality cranking rod?

Depends on what type of crank rod you broke. Mid-deep diving cranker or shallow crankin rod?

Phenix XG1 Glass Cranker

Have you ever seen these? I recently just got my hands on one of these bad boys from a friend of mine and I was absolutely amazed at how this rod handles a crank. It was like you could just throw the crank with your hand to whatever target you wanted, that's how accurate it was. It was such a soft yet durable and sensitive rod. I used it for a good 9 hours and I was blown away. I HIGHLY suggest you check out this rod. I think you'd be amazed as well. The price isn't bad either! thumb

As Carlos said, it depends on what kind of CB rod you are looking for. An all around CB rod? Something for deep, medium, shallow or lipless? What length and what price range? Glass, composite or graphite? How long a rod are you looking for? The list goes on, but you get the idea.

If you are looking for a deep diving rod, I prefer the Dobyns 805 CB RM, which I think is the best cranking rod out there, it will handle the medium to Strike King 10XD lures. It also will throw light swimbaits and big spinnerbaits as well. BUT, you tell us some of the things you are looking for and we can get more specific, if you are NOT looking for a deep diver. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
