Buddy and I are contemplating fishing there tomorrow but I haven't heard a sac-a-lait report lately.

Coach, I haven't been to Aquilla...an old gent I know told me he went at the first of last week and caught a dozen in 10-12ft, with minnows, right on the bottom, moving around...he doesn't fish the core ples though only standing timber...good luck.

Thanks, crapicat. You're from Grandview? PM me some info on Ham Creek, haha.

Tried Aquilla today. Zero'd...not even a bite. Saw fish on graph, but they just weren't biting. Same story from other anglers.

Thanks for the info, looks like it's going to be windy tomorrow. Had a buddy go this afternoon to Aquila and caught a lot of unders. Couldn't find the big ones. I saw one post on here that said they were spawning. Not sure if that's the case according to my fishing buddy. I guess I'll take the boss and try the Brazos to avoid some wind. Maybe she will bring some luck.

Made a game time decision and went to EM, I knew where I could stay out of the wind there... Good morning on the water as far as catching fish. Except no crappie, mostly white bass and LMB.

That's the way Ham Creek has been for me. Trying to catch crappie and can't drop a jig without catching a sandie. I guess I should try to eat sand bass.

The Crappie will turn on at Aquilla when you start seeing Bluebonnets blooming.
