RHSA, Steve The Dobber, invited me to fish from 330 to 6pm Friday. Beautiful Winter/early Spring weather day! We found fish at the 3rd spot in 30 ft flat, calling em in. Small drive-by groups would show up under us and we snagged a few or missed a few each time. Total caught, 20 good fish, with 15 mags, 3 big yellows, a 3# kitty, and one long hard fought new lake hybrid record, doh!, 20# albino buffalo. Best fight I had in a looong time! LOL

All caught on slabs and small crappie flukes above slabs. Fish suspended in 17 to 25ft, in 30fow. South wind 10mph. Water temp mid 50s.

Thanks for the invite, Steve! Had a blast!

FYI, the morning reports I got were still slow.

For the short time you were there and the time of year I would say that was a great day fishing. Good job.

Forgot to mention, Frank, Bovee and cute Celine were catching next to us in the pic. Nice fish Frank, and nice boat, Bovee! Also, I was invited to fish lake CC Friday with some TFF celeberties, but man my alergies got bad Thursday, took med, went to bed early and got up late Friday morning. Glad to hear the CC bunch caught good fish too smile

Todd glad you and Steve had some luck ....it's been tough!! We had a chance to run out this afternoon and just hit a wall of rough wind and waves! We called it after a couple hours..

Family is good. We are in a rent house about 1.5 miles from our house. Our house is a total loss and should be demolished in the next two weeks. We are going to rebuild on the same spot and if all goes well we should be in our NEW house in July. My boat is in the process of being repaired. Rockwall Marine is doing the mechanical work and Vic's Marine in Rowlett is doing the fiberglass work. $23,000 worth of repairs on the boat, motor and trailer most of which is due to the two 2x8's that went thru the seats into the live wells and there were two impact cracks in the sides just above the rub rails one on each side. Good thing is there was no hull damage otherwise it would have been a total loss. Hoping to have it back by May. My truck come out of the shop two weeks ago its basically a new truck with all the exterior being replaced, bumpers, lights, all the glass and all the body panels. Inside the carpet and headliner were replaced. We are taking it one day at a time it just seems at times things progress at a snails pace. We are thankful and grateful to be where we are but would rather have not gone thru the experience but We will be back stronger and better people for it.
