Got to get out and try the new unit. Still trying to tune it in.








There's nothing really special in this shot, but wanted to show what prop wash looks like. This guy crossed right in front of me. You can see the bumpy area close to the bottom. That was his enormous wake shaking the boat, then you can see all the prop wash across the screen.

They can swim away, but they just can't hide...thanks...when you get a chance post more...i'm impressed with the images! Thanks Jacob!

Zoom in to 70 or less, you will see more and better detail.

I use 55' on each side, easy casting distance for anything you see on the screen.

That is nice Jacob. When I got my helix 7 on front of my boat I was like a kid in a candy store with all the stuff I could see. I was amazed when I got around docks, you can see under them. I had heard people say this, but until you see it, o well, I sound like a kid again. Anyway, you will love the helix.

Did you get a map chip with it, and if so, what kind?

Haven't gotten a map chip yet. The one that comes with it is terrible compared to the cheap Lowrance DI unit that I have. Guess they want the upsale.

I agree , the last two lakes I fished (lavon,fork) the map didnt have contours. Ill be buying a chip soon.
