Looking at taking the yak out saturday. Where should I go south of dfw? Was thinking of trying to reserve for squaw creek for talapia but don't know how it is with wind. Any other places south dfw might be good?

Lake Pat Mayse in Cleburne usually produces some good crapping and catfish. Aquilla is a fun option. Always some good bass fishing there.

I don't have all the answers, but I'm a quick learner!

You can catch Tilapia on a rod and reel but it is a whole lot easier to catch them with a cast net.

I don't go too fast but I go pretty far.

I am going to head down to Wheeler Branch tomorrow, fish from 7 AM until around 2 PM is my usual pattern.

So far, the water has been too cold for good fishing . . . but one week very soon when water temps hit about 60, it ought to light up. We had a great time out there last year in the spring.

Some of the back areas in the coves are supposedly already 60 so I'll spend a bit of time back there, fish the island, generally check things out.

I'm taking my Slayer Propel 10.

Brad
