The Ray Hubbard Bass Club had our first tournament of 2016 on Saturday February 13th at Lake Palestine. After a huge turnout at the meeting on the Thursday before, we had a new Club record for boats for a members only tournament. 45 boats fished with us! We had very pleasant weather for February and a lot of good fish were caught. When all was said and done, Chris Atkinson and myself came out on top with a 5 fish limit weighing 20.95 pounds. David Simmons weighed big bass with an 8.95 beast. Here are the full results and pictures from Palestine. We have a full new set of Tournament Directors this year and they did a great job with the huge crowd. Here are Dale Rettman and Kelly Millhollon running the scales and getting ready to weigh David's big fish. Here is David Matheny with he and Jason Hadley's catch for the day. Josh Mulkey and Joey Eaves have teamed up again this year. Newcomer Bob Graves fishing with Robert Hitt show off a nice bass. RHBC veterans Ed and Tyler Ham had two on the day. Back with us for the new year are Paul Villarreal and Joe Ruiz. Here's Paul with their two fish. Tommy Yates and Josh Weidler are new members for 2016. They had just one fish but it was a chunky 3.34. Tony Dougherty fished with Bo Hubbard. Here's Bo with their two. Matt Prior and Richard Cisnero had two for 6.01

Nice to have Thomas Ross back again this year. He fished with Chris Winter and had the non coveted first out of the money 7th place finish weighing 5 for 14.06 Garrett Macias fishing with RHBC veteran and all around great guy Robert Oleson got 6th with a really nice limit that weighed 15.77 and included a 5.23 kicker Former RHBC AOY's and always first in the registration line Dennis and Damon Machost followed up their Palestine win last year with a fifth place finish this year with 5 for 16.92 Fishing solo James Renfro had a great day finishing fourth with a 5 fish limit for 17.24 Starting out with an awesome third place finish in their first tournament with RHBC were Chad Grace and Jesse Simpson. They had 5 for 17.74. Congratulations guys! Finishing second with an incredible 5 fish limit of 20.31 were RHBC Secretary David Simmons and Jared Fish. They had an AOY year together a few years ago and they served notice they are back Their bag was anchored by an 8.95 toad. Look at this girl! One more look Winning was the team of Chris Atkinson and myself with a solid 5 fish limit for 20.95 pounds. Fun day! Anchoring our bag was this 5.97 caught by Chris at high noon. Great job partner! The list of thank yous is long. Thanks to Larry and all the fine people at Lake Palestine Resort for taking great care of us as always. They opened early to feed our guys breakfast and have a top notch weigh in facility. Kenny and Howard Bunch for getting everyone through registration and on the water on time. Dale and Kelly did a fantastic job weighing the fish and keeping great records. RHBC clown Prince Jack Scheel for taking the pictures and his son and partner Fly for keeping everyone in the lot moving through the line in a orderly fashion. Thank you to the great members of our Club for coming out in huge numbers and being friendly and helpful on a long crazy day. We're on Cypress Springs next month on March 12th! It's Jerry Brown's Birthday! You can't miss that! See you there!

Too many hippies on this forum complain about fish handling. I would have ate her back home.
