Have a small tourney an March 19th, wanted to try to avoid the Media tourney going out of The Villages. Has anyone ever launched at any of these, Lakeside Getaway, Campers Cove, Palestine Pines or Palestine Motor Inn. Wanted to stay away from Palestine resort, their ramp is not in the best shape from what I hear. Thanks

I launched at the motor inn last fall. It was a good ramp, not a lot of room to park boats but for a small tournament it might work.

Lakeside Gateway is now a private ramp. I launched there last spring and when I went to recover my boat later that day the owner stopped my and told me the ramp was now for paying "resort" customers only. I said TP&W still have it listed and he said he has been trying to get it changed with no luck.

The ramp at Palestine Motor inn is good but as someone pointed out, the parking area can only fit maybe 6-8 rigs.

The public ramp at Flat Creek or Flat Creek Marina. Both are good ramps.

The Kickapoo boat ramp & pier south of Chandler on FM 315
was under water. Saw 2 trucks with empty Bass Tracker
like low trailers parked there...so they were able
to launch.
