I Haven't tried PP SS. Why? I had exactly the problem with original PP. No problems with abrasion or knot strength but " snap strength" was terrible. Sometimes all braid digs in, I won't notice and and causes one of those D'oh casts. With PP and PP only, it snaps and sends my lure into the abyss.. I know it's operator error BUT every other braid can usually handle it. PP fails over half the time , it seems. I have used fireline, spider wire, 832 and currently Smackdown.
