I have a 2010 F150. For last couple weeks it down shifts hard from 2 to 1st. Does fine though when accelerating from red light. Then today it's starting to leak transmission fluid from transmission. Looking for recommendations for a shop that won't try to sell me stuff I don't need. Thanks for any help.

Jasper engine and transmission have a network of installing dealers. Call them up. Or your local Ford dealer has a line of reman-ed tranny's try them.

I have a transmission shop in Mansfield. I do not charge to scan and road test. I can give you an idea of what is wrong and what it will take to fix it. My # is 817-483-2129. Thanks, Dave

Always heard nothing but horror stories on Jasper stuff so id shy away from them. Beermill's deal sounds pretty sweet id take him up on that offer. Most places will cahrge you a diag fee of around $100.

Personally after many issues with aftermarket motors and transmissions with past vehicles, I started using a dealership. It may cost more but at least their re-manufactured items are up to company standards. I've been burned before left waiting for a tow so to me the extra upfront beats a repair in some little town down the road where you will definitely pay more.

I work at a transmission shop and in my opinion Jasper is the best rebuilder hands down. I have personally installed hundreds of their products from front diffs, engines, trannys, transfer cases...ect and we have had like maybe 2 problems and jasper made it right before it left our shop. I'm not saying that you will never have a problem because after all they are built by humans. I would go as far to say that they rebuild a product better than its made from the factory...the are always installing improved parts and their R&D is excellent....JMO

+1. I've had 3 rebuilt and 2 went back to the shop within a week. One went back twice before I traded it in. And both shops acted like it was my fault.
