Looking to buy a new Texas Rig rod, need opinions on the best, most sensitive rod around 200 or less.

G. Loomis GL2 Jig & Worm

I'd go with the GL2 JWR rods. I've had one for 3 years now and it's awesome. These rods are super sensitive and very well balanced. I think the best part about them though is the cork grip, it's very comfortable. Can't go wrong with the GL2's.

G Loomis IMX for worms and jigs, for me they are the most sensitive and comfortable rods available. I do like the GL2 for cranking and jerkbaits because they have a painted blank, which in my mind gives them a little extra durability when casting

BTW you not going to get the IMX for $200 but at $295 they are worth it.

Best T-rig rod period? Dobyns Champion 734. Best for under $200? Falcon Lowrider in Lizard Dragger 1 model. Best under $100? All Star Classic in "Worm" model. Really!

Dobyns Fury rods are pretty nice

I have a Dobyns fury 734, how much more sensitive is the Champion line? The champion 734 was the rod I was leaning towards. I know it's a little over 200, but I don't have to buy new either

Picked up two of these a couple months ago and they are hands down the most sensitive rod I've ever used. If I could afford it, I would have a whole Arsenal of them!

I like you choice of the Dobyns 734. I have Champion 735 and 736 and those are great for pitching and flipping baits. Great selection of great rods, but can be a little pricey for some. Have you checked out the Savvy line, they are not bad for the price, but the Champion is still better. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

The MajorCraft that Carlos is referring to is a VERY NICE rod. He showed me one a couple weeks ago and I couldn't believe how light it's was. On the order of between 3-31/2 ounces. Haha. But has a backbone! If I didn't special order a Zillion rod from him...id of taken the MC in place of it. Easily.

Saying that, a X45 SVF Zillion is a GREAT choice too. I love mine.

On a Trig rod, sensitivity is the most important aspect. That is a pure feel-the-bite technique. Your trig rod, in my opinion, is where you should spend the extra money and get the very best you can afford.
