Any advice? Or completely safe right now?

Pretty safe any where North of the buoys coming out of Bowman Park. Once you go South of the buoys you need to watch for stumps, submerged island and other hazards. If you go that way, the safest way is staying next to the docks on the East side or find the creek on the West side and try to stay in it. It's a small lake and easy to navigate safely with just normal cautions for a new lake.

Idle the south end til you figure it out for yourself. Too many hazards.
