I am basically fishing lake grandbury for the first time this weekend , I am thinking about fishing the north end of the lake and was looking for a good place to launch and any hazards to look out for and if you want to give some fishing advise that will be fine also but mainly access and hazards , thanks

I fished there last Friday and launched at Rough Creek Park. Fished south of there and water temps ranged from 57 to 60. If you head south from the Rough Creek Ramp, just follow the buoys.

Caught all my fish in 6 ft or less on chatterbaits and plastics.

Talked to another boat that caught all of their fish on plastics in the flooded bushes.

Good luck!

Launch at city park and fish rocks all around that area with square bills and Texas rig and you'll catch fish. Water was warming up but this rain and cold may slow things down.Good luck man.

I fished a few hours Sunday with a blue fleck,7" power worm and found the bass active and shallow around the docks and sea walls. Caught 5 in about an hour or so.

Hug the marker buoys (red and white vertical stripes) and you will be safe. There is one area south of 377 where marker buoys are eerily close to hazard buoys.
