We are heading to Choke canyon to do some fishing with the kids for spring break. I am needing a top to keep the kiddos out of the sun when on the lake. Any suggestions. Doesnt have to be the best one out there, just something that works. Have a ranger 397xl Thanks

For something temporary on a few particular trips, I rigged up a base for an inexpensive umbrella. I didn't want anything permanently mounted on the boat. The base is inexpensive PVC pipe. One vertical pipe is a diameter that will accept the umbrella shaft. The seat pedestal will fit though the other vertical pipe. They are connected by four T fittings. I put this on the rear deck with the chair holding it in place. The base can be rotated around the seat to get better shade depending on the sun angle. We get quite a bit of shade from it, and the umbrella can be easily be removed and tied down to run on pad.

Is the frame shot too? If now, you should be able to take the frame to a canvas shop and get a new one made.

They make replacement covers. Several companies on the internet sell them in different qualities of material. Simple to change. Just remove the frame and slide the new cover on it. They don't do a great job of protection except in the middle of the day when the sun is right overhead. I'm going to attach some velcro side panels that I can put on when needed just to block a little more sun.

I have a 3 bow in grey that I would sell. It has been hanging in the garage for 15 years. Only thing wrong with it is a tiny hole in cover because the ex always out the motor all the way up when loading

I would have to install on boat to get a good pic. It will fit an 88" beam. I believe width is like 86". I can get it off the wall this weekend and verify condition. Has not been opened in at least 10 years. Want to make sure rats or mice have not chewed on it. I waterproofed after last use. I should have the owners manual. New they are about $250. Unless I open it and find a problem I would say half that.
