Does anyone remember a time when the Stripers, Sand Bass and Hybrids spawned this early in the year here in N. TX. ? I don't. Could it be that the dead sticking had turned on, and anticipation of same has made the spawn more resented. ?

Stripers have never spawned this time of year. Maybe a few early fish but bulk of the spawning is late April early May.

Water temp 55 and rising starts the migration, some say stripers will adapt to their existing environment and will spawn at 55 if the water temps never get above 60.

Maybe but in North TX the water will always get above 60.
