Anyone having any luck @ either? I have been fishing AH pretty regular and the best luck I have had has been @ the barge on minnows. I tried up in the creeks this weekend for some spawning crappie and caught a few, but mostly small spots. The spots are fun on crappie tackle. Warmest water I found was 60*. Tried the barge @ white river about 2 weeks ago, and the carp were in there pretty thick. We caught some small crappie, nut nothing of any size. I'm sure this cold snap and little bit of rain will push the spawn back a little.

I went to alan Henry and fished the mouth of rocky creek and caught nothing but spotted bass in 12 to 18 fow. It was fun on the light tackle so I stayed and fished around there most of the day. I have fished at Alan Henry four times now and have caught nothing but bass. I guess I just need to try the barge. When I drove by the barge it looked like some fish were suspended at 20'. I just like being out in the boat looking for them I guess. Sorry I couldn't help.

Yea they have been hanging out in 20-30 ft of water at the barge. its kinda hit and miss there. I'm like you, I enjoy getting the boat out, but living in post, I can get off work and be fishing in 30 minutes. In the past I have had good luck up river in the muddy water for spawning crappie. I think I will try it this weekend.

We have always done well in big grape. This time of year they should be suspended in brush in about 20-25 fow. Last year we found a spot that produced well into May. I'd give that a shot.

Well, it was windy, and that wind was cold. Other than that, it was a pretty good day at AH. We brought home 7 keepers, the biggest about 13". They were a little deeper today than they have been. We caught most of our fish from 40' to about 4 cranks up from the bottom. Caught several bass through the day. There were only a few of us crazy enough to stay out in the wind all day, but it started to get crowded about 5:00 so we headed in.
