Was thinking about purchasing a hydrowave. Anyone had a situation where you felt it really worked?

What species are you targeting? What average depth are you fishing?

I fish for multiple species but mostly LMB, sand bass. I am more comfortable fishing shallow but I do fish deep structure as well based on conditions, time of year, water temp, etc. Thanks for the reply.

I wont get in the does it work or not debate but the HydroWave will work from 1 foot of water to 100 feet of water. Some examples are: Scott Martin loves his unit on when he is bed fishing to get the fish more aggressive and then we had Randy Howell at the Bassmaster Classic where he won tell how important the HydroWave was to his win with keeping fishing in hi area. HydroWave is the only sound device that is used on all the biggest trails. There have been been a couple guys try and emit sound from the boat like the HydroWave but none of those companies are around today. The HydroWave is a tool and will help bring bait fish in and will get the predator fish in a more aggressive mood. Every sound on the HydroWave is a natural sound that we have recorded on the water to help mimic nature the closest way possible. Will it work every time on the water nope, but it has never been said be one person that the HydroWave will hurt you.

I tried one for about a year, I never got 1 bite that I thought the Hydrowave helped me to get. It did bring bait fish closer to the boat, but that was all it did for me. I guess you could say it helped bring schooling fish (small fish) closer to the boat. Just my opinion. I sold mine.

I like it because I think it covers up trolling motor noise and other noises made from the boat pretty well

I've ran one since just after they came out. It doesn't even get plugged in anymore. I actually seem to catch more fish with it off but I have no proof of that. I have seen it pull bait fish off the bottom in deep water but that creates a problem for me. When you pull the bait up and the fish follow they are then suspended and harder to catch.

I purchased my Hydro-wave with the same questions...upon purchasing it...I am a firm believer it helps. Does it work every time??....Does it catch the fish for you??...NO...however, when you do have it dialed in like last spring when I fired it up and a rather large bait ball formed around my trolling motor and all around the nose of my boat...following me down the bank...it was a real eye opener and re-affirmed what I already knew. And if nothing else...it disguises the sound of your trolling motor. I'd say if I could do it again...I would not hesitate to purchase it again.
