Any recommendations on a good boat ramp to use to get out to the gulf in Port A?

Thanks,

get there EARLY if its a weekend, that launch will be an absolute zoo on the weekends as the weather gets nicer, and get ready for amateur hour

Conn Brown...theft was an issue there but I haven't used that one in quite awhile. It's about a 10 minute boat ride up the channel to get to the jetties. The public ramp on the island is nice, but can get a little crowded even though there are 4 ramps.

Man up. Fight the GOOD fight.

I have never had problems with public ramp during the week, 2 ramps on left are deep water ones on right are less slope easer to load bay boat.

and unless youre staying on the island somewhere, dragging your boat on the ferry is a little unnerving (for me atleast) I would launch somewhere else and head out via Packery (again just preference)

The public ramp in Port A, right next to the ferries. Tons of Ramps and tons of parking

How long is the journey to get to the gulf if you don't launch from port a? Where would the best place be to launch then?

Conn Brown is 9 miles to the jetties. An easy run and a great ramp IMHO.

Great resource but you have to use IE to open or another browser that supports Silverlight if you want to view the documents associated with the reefs. Those show the exact GPS positions of the various materials that were put in as well as a general overview of the site area.
