Cooper Dam, the Stinky wild west

Punch baits are stinky, but lots of skinny blue catfish were caught. We Got there around 5pm people were starting to head to the parking lot with limits of small catfish stringers, one gentleman got 5 or 6 huge crappie that he insisted they were barely over 2 lbers, but they were HUGE and thick.

The little chocolate pool of water sure has lots of fishermen mostly catfish. A guy threw net and kept more than just a few catfish. Then two guys kept every crappie he landed mostly under sizes. eeks

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

Sorry my first time fishing there, probably my last, people seem generally nice just minding their own business, just didn't seem like fun. I didn't feel like taking any pics. We were after whitebass and hybrids, my 10 y.o. son caught a keeper wb and snagged one small black buffalo and loss a pole bending fish buffalo or hybrid, couldn't see anything in the chocolaty water...so don't have any pics of our own.

I think my brother saw you last Saturday late afternoon. I was on the wall with my son and we made a lot of noise when my son hooked a big fish, unfortunately it spit the hook.
