A guide on Athens is a waste of money. It is small and you can catch them without a guide.

Good to have you on TFF. I don't know of a bass fishing guide that fishes Cedar Creek. Quality black bass usually come from flipping docks close to deep water except during the spawn.

Don't sweat the small stuff. It's all small stuff.

Both lakes are fairly easy to find the fish as said before Cedar Creek stick with boat dock and points and as usual if you find the grass you will find the fish

Athens is prolly gonna fish better than CC. Heck, you might even be better off going to Palestine. Much better fishing than CC unless you're going to CC to try and learn the lake for an event or something like that.

Greg West guides on Athens. Learned much more about the lake in a few hours than I would have in several trips.
I do not fish grass lakes much and he showed me several new techniques. He is a super nice guy and I highly recommend him.
