Started in Running, found warm water but was dirty, moved to long branch and bell for the rest of the day. Ended the day with 7 dinks. Talked with some guys at the ramp and most stories seemed similar - a bite here and there and no size to any of them. Anyone hammer them today, cause I left plenty out there! Lol

I got nothing, after I found the water as stained as it was on the mid-lake creeks, I realized it wasn't going to be good for what I was trying to do. So, I started heading North to hit a couple of old stand-by spots (nothing). Then decided to look at water I have never fished. I think I found a new area to try this spring, and early summer with the lake full.

Typical report for me regarding mutha forker. Stay at it, guys! If I was to go there, I'd fish a 3/4oz trap all day hoping for one giant bite. I'd cover lots of water. The normal areas I fish I would not get bit, so I would take a chance on one big dumb female. I love females, even dumb ones......

I fished in Little Mustang all day, with a bunch of other boats. Got one decent under 2.13 on one of my new Finch Nasty Thumpers in green pumpkin. No other bites at all on plastics or cranks.

Too early in the year...things will pick up in a month.
Need warmer water for the Florida strain bass to get busy.

It's not gonna take a month for it to bust loose. It's gonna happen sooner rather than later. They are up shallow but you gotta work for them. Thursday and Friday were good out there in regards to bites.

Have a little cool down coming this next week, but with a week of warm nights, it will bust loose big time. Gman

I was out for about 3 hours yesterday between noon and 3. Nada. Very muddy as others have mentioned. Water temp was cool. 53 on the main lake... and the warmest we found on our short trip was 58-59.

Biggest yesterday for me on Fork was 4.11lbs. Caught it picking away at isolated cover on a Brush Hog. Caught some more good sized under slots on a jig in standing timber. Bout it really.

My son and I went Friday. We found most of our fish by punching the greener matted grass with 1/2 oz weight in front of a craw bait. Green pumpkin worked best. That played out around lunch so we finished the day with swimbaits on wind blown flats. It seemed the banks that had the slower taper were holding better fish. My son had a 7 and a 5 with some fat unders mixed in. I had only small slot fish. We hit both arms and the pattern held up everywhere. Fun day for sure.

Chris B and I had a pretty good day, all in all 11 fish with the biggest under I have seen, thing was as round as it was long. No big bites to report, but has enough good bites to make it a really fun day. Lake Fork is in great shape, looks better now than it has in years to me. Looking forward to getting back out there soon!

Thursday and Friday were good out there in regards to bites. I found 63.6 water temps Friday up north, way up north. Dink's schooling at the mouths of spawning coves, 5-6 foot.. Big girls staging in places over look IMO.. Good luck and think outside the box, we haven't had a winter and the fish are acting so.

I was on the water from barely light until 9:30 am. Fished primarily Alligator Cove, the group of coves as you come in to Big Caney branch from the main lake. Caught two slots 2 1/2 to 3 lbs each on red rattle traps up shallow. Thought the lake would be packed today so I got to Minnow Bucket about 5:30 am. When I loaded up to leave, parking lot was only about 1/3 full.
