Anyone been to Grapevine lately? I have never fished the lake, any recommendations on where to put in?

Me and a buddy fished it last week, you can put in at Silvercreek $20, I would fish somewhere else.

Ugh that bad? Trying to stay local to the DFW area this weekend, which surprisingly I have never fished. All of my time has been at Fork, Squaw or Rayburn.

I'll be trying Lewisville tomorrow. Water is back to normal pool at least.

Eagle Mountain would be my choice, this is the time of year the big girls eat out there especially with the warming trend.

Last time the Vine was over pool in Feb there were bed fish in Dookie Creek in early Feb, and that was during a cold winter. If I were launching on Grapevine this weekend I believe I'd go as far up Dookie Creek as possible, it should clear up eventually as you continue to head tword the water treatment facility. The water should be high enough to allow you to clear the stuff just before the Dove Loop Bridge and continue up stream. I havent been back there this year, but it would be worth checking out for sure.... when they are back there you can really put a whoopin on em with a flipping stick.

Wow, that's great news. Didn't know it was open. We spent 6 hours on Lew today and they're eating good enough not to have to go anywhere else now. 18lbs best 5 isn't too shabby for Looserville.
