I spoke with Brian Clark the owner of Clark's Tackle Box, formerly fisherman supply. He is going to open up at 5:30 tomorrow morning for anyone who wants to pick up some fresh minnows before the tournament, he also has some of the rosy red minnows in as well.

I would recommend stopping by, Brian is a great guy and also a CAT member, he has a nice selection of Bonehead along with other crappie fishing items at a great price!

I was not aware he was carrying some Bonehead stuff. I certainly will be stopping by.

He sells it as the same price as the website so save yourself the shipping cost and time it takes to get it!

Appreciate the tip. For those of us who live 150+ miles away, an address and/or directions would be helpful also. I saw this yesterday afternoon, but don't have a clue where Clark's Tackle box is.

Hi Ken, I don't facebook but if you do, here's a link that has a map. Google has two facebook links for Clark's Tackle Box but that's about all that came up.
As a local who's been going to Fisherman's Supply for over 30 years and 3 different owners, 4 counting Clark's now, I knew where it is but i do see your point about out of towners not knowing.
https://www.facebook.com/Clarks-Tackle-Box-736108539828599/info

i snagged the address off bonehead web site:
Clark's Tackle Box 696 Interstate 30 Frontage Rd. Garland, TX (972)226-5577

They're on the east bound service rd of I-30 in Garland about a mile before BassPro.
Zion Rd at east bound I-30E is the closest intersection but you can't get there from Zion Rd because of the one way service rd.

If you're going east, you have to exit at Bobtown Rd and just stay on the service road after you go through the light at Bobtown.
They're the next to last building on the right before you get to Zion Rd.
If you're coming west on I-30, same exit - Bobtown, go under the freeway and back east on the service rd.

I haven't been in there since it changed owners again, but I'm glad to hear they have the red rosy's and hope to heck they are keeping live crickets for for my bluegill addiction.

I didn't even think of that Ken, will remember for next time! Looks like Jon got it for future reference.

He also does carry live crickets still. If you haven't been since Brian took over, I would highly recommend stopping by and checking out all the new tackle he is offering.

Great!! I'll make it a point to go by there and stop in to check out the tackle.

I sure do hope they make a go of it. Seems like that place has been hard on owners ever since Gary - the original owner, got forced out by the knotheaded landlord however many years ago that was. I'm still bitter about the way that deal went down, but I do hope Mr Clark is successful and prosperous with it.
It's in a great location and has kept a pretty good following of people through the years far as i could tell.

Thanks for the report and the info on my crickets!! thumb
