Has anyone done this on WRL? I have a kayak and want to shoot the marinas for post spawn through fall just don't want to waste my time if its not worth it.

All I can tell you is we caught 72 in one night on White Rock. Back in the early 80's. We ran 2 rubber band lines with 12 minnows on each line. What a great time that was. And it was about exactly this time of year.

The marinas such as they are, are very shallow and with the summer heat, the crappie don't go for em much. Now Channel cats is another story. Old Tff'er KaLub, used to kill em there, especially at night. Not so much on crappie though

Thanks for the input. I get not catching much from the bank but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be under the outside areas that I can get to from my yak? Looking at a depth chart, in that area it doesn't get more than 10 feet deep so shouldn't the shade be important and draw them in?
