Looking to take a short fishing trip to Florida mid-March. Looking for a guide for Redfish and Tarpon preferably someone who could put me on both in the same day. Someone in Tampa, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, or Fort Lauderdale. Not sure which place is best, or even expected to find both.

I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 20 years. There were some tarpon at the inlets, but nobody even bothered to try to find a redfish - just not there. I'm not sure about which area is best (other than the Keys) for the two species, but it's not Ft. Lauderdale, that much I know. I'm headed back to Lakes Okeechobee and Kissimmee in the last half of March!

Look around Punta Gorda for a guide that fishes Charlotte Harbor. Tons of great fishing anywhere from Captiva and Pine Island all the way down to Sanibel.
