 Lake Dunlap Blue Tilapia Record!

Caught this Blue Tilapia while fishing Lake Dunlap the other day. The fish was caught using night crawlers using a bottom technique. Ultralight tackle was used. Length of the fish was 17.50" and the girth was also 17.50". Official weight of the fish was 5.49 Lbs. Paper work was completed and sent to Texas Parks&Wildlife for the Blue Tilapia water body record. Another one was caught that weighted 4.25 Lbs. Catching Big Tilapia on ultralight tackle. It just don't get any better!

Thanks for the reply! Tilapia are a very good eating fish.  As for being better than Crappie,  I personally like Crappie better.
