Getting closer on this little boat. I think I have a few more weeks on it yet.

That boat looks so beautiful I don't think I could put it into the water!

I'd set it up in my den and just stare at it like a fine piece of furniture!

Way to go! thumb

Just one more cast!

If you ever fish out of one of these you're ruined for life. These 12 1/2 footers love to fish.

Do you have a time lapse vid of you building one in your shop? These wood boats are indeed "fine". How is the durability, do you have to be ginger with them? If you dragged it or bumped it you'd have to reseal it wouldn't you.

I never had a problem with mine. I hit rocks, dropped it, scrapped it and even hit a few stumps with mine, I did add 1 extra layer of glass on the bottom though. What killed mine was a wind storm and a trailer hitch. It was on stands and was knocked off onto the hitch putting a hole in it. mad

I'm on other forums that deal with the old turbo powered Buicks.;)

Nope, they are tough as nails. They are composite construction. The 1/8" plywood acts as a skeleton and the fiberglass layers add the strength.
My oldest is 8 years and a storm destroyed the front deck but I can easily replace that.
If they are stored outside the varnish should be redone probably every other year.
I do not have a video but my Photobucket or Facebook accounts can be viewed as a slide show.
