Well, I said I would report back, and I got skunked, skunked. I know there were some fish caught that morning, so I know its me realmad

We got on the water about 9:30 and went up in Caney creek, mostly fished there, brushy creek, and a few others the whole day. Found 58-59 deg water. Threw jigs, big & small, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, swimbaits, worms, shakey head worms, and of course the swimjig a lot. Fished shallow mostly but did mark some fish out deep, didn't spend much time on them. We found a few patches of grass, but never found the thick hydrilla or milfoil I wanted to fish.
Stayed on the water all day, even ate lunch on the boat. My buddy caught one about 2 1/2 on a spinnerbait right as the sun was going down. That was it. Not complaining, still enjoyed being on the water. Just thought Id throw it up in case anyone else had a tough day.

I was out yesterday 1300 to 1700 and caught 2 15 inches or so. Red Craw 1/2 oz trap on point just before I quit. Stayed in White Oak Branch all afternoon. Pretty muddy still. No grass on my trap. 58 degrees most I saw. 54 near main lake.

Hey, I've been skunked while fishing with some of the best guides on the lake!

Mother Fork can be fickle!

+1 Many of us can say the same. But that's what makes her special. No guarantees. Every kid doesn't get a trophy for showing up. roflmao

Mutha Forker has been known to do that on a regular basis to me......I fished Lew yesterday and could not get bit anywhere on main lake....so I cheated and went back into the warm water, 66degrees. Caught 14 bass and some magnum sandies...poo creek saved the day!

Ha thanks guys that makes me feel better. It is a special place, honestly we couldn't believe how fast the day went while not catching any. I guess its just in the back of my mind I know any cast could produce the fish of a lifetime, makes it fun to be on that lake

Hang in there. Thats just Fork. Fished from 4-6 this evening. It was a hit windy but had 6-7 bites all 5' or less midlake. Had to slow way down. No big fish but a couple of unders that were just under I would have liked to have in a tournament out here. Water temps were 52-59 for me.

I sure hope the water gets clearer before MegaBass. I can't believe how stained it looks in virtually every picture I have seen posted this year

Hey thanks Mark, btw I got to handle some of your swimbaits at the store, they are amazing! I was after the smaller size but someone cleaned you out before I got there, which is good of course!
