Has anyone used a marine starting battery in a car? Academy has a marine starting battery that has 1000 cca and 115 min reserve for about $80. It will fit in the battery space in my car. It is $20 cheaper that any other automotive battery I have found so far. The battery that came with the car is 700 cca, 130 min reserve. Dimensions are identical. Would I be in for problems with the Academy battery in my car? all responses will be appreciated.

The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything. Remember what He has done and remember that He is not done yet!-- GOD IS GOOD

Should work fine but you can probably get the same battery with a different sticker on the side for less money and a better warranty at walmart.

I looked at Walmart- online and in the store- and even their batteries are $20 higher with much lower cranking amps.I was very surprised because the last time I bought a battery at Walmart it was because their price was the best. Not necessarily so theses days, at least on the kind I need this time.
