Well, it is just about "take a number" time at Aquilla.... We went yesterday. The lake is right at pool level... the water is its normal stained but clearer back in the creeks and coves. The water temp was 58°. We fished our favorite "easy pickings" flat.. there were 6 or 7 boats in just that flat on a Wednesday in mid-February morning... the action wasn't fast, but guys were catching fish... We fished for 3 hours and caught only 3, but we missed several others; my line was broke twice on fish ... need new line. The Boss let a nice one get off. We fished worms.. but a lot of the other guys looked to be throwing shallow running crank baits and pitching brush hogs. The Boss is a happy camper when she is catching fish. Note the red sun glasses.. they match the boat For the folks who know how to fish Aquilla.. the time is now... it is an early spring. One guy had a 9-3 yesterday... After The Boss boated her second fish, we had one guy following us around trying to fish in our live well... or so it seemed. Just sayin...

Where are the Whitney reports? I always enjoy reading them. I had several medical issues last year and then there was the high water... just couldn't get on the lake last year.. this year has started similarly.... but working to get better... Every time we went, we posted a report.. there just were not many times we went. Then yesterday Google advised they were deep-sixing the photo management software I had been using to manage all the photos on my Whitney web site... I am loosing the link to every photo and there are several hundred.. too much trouble to re-create it. That happens May 1.. discouraging... so, I will probably give up the web site and the Whitney reports every time we go... If I don't get to feeling better this year... will also be getting out of the bass boat and tackle business... Old age is not for sissies... In fact it sucks.
