I went yesterday with two Women. We caught right at 30. They stayed hung up most of the time. Thing is we caught 3 fish that originally beat the record. I forget what it was but they caught two that weighed 2.11 ounces and one that weighed 2.12 ounces. By the time they drove to Waco on a certified scale the fish had lost 3 ounces. Not sure because I had to stay and clean fish but the new record for the Navasota should be 2.89 ounces now. One of the fish was reported to beat the length record as well. They just mailed in the paper work so it is not on the books yet. The fish are scattered and have not laid eggs yet. We also caught some really big males. The water is at standard level and we did not go all the way to the Bridge. We came in through Limestone over all the stumps. I have a Mud Boat.

Just an extra Wide 16' Flat Bottom with a Go Devil 23hp Surface Drive Motor on it. At speed the Motor Floats it does not run up against the Transom. If setup properly and mine is, at Speed, half the Prop is out of the water. Running over Stumps don't hurt it a bit.

Sorry I don't have pictures. On the Navasota, especially if you come in through Lake Limestone you are going to hit several stumps. Used to have to jump a Log Jam. Log Jam is not there this year, but a good rain could bring it back.
