Does anyone know of a web site I can go to and get a diagram or description for operation of all buttons on a 2011 Z520 touch pad? It has a A button that I assumed was aerator but it doesn't seem to change anything when lighted up. Both live well lights light up at the same time. Trying to figure if the two live well pumps can be run individually.

Take a good close up photo of your touch-pad and post it. I think it may be the same as on my 2012 521. I can tell by seeing your pad, and will give you info from my manual.

The "A" is for "Accessory" not Aerator on Rangers with the touch-pad like mine. If you boat has an Oxygenator, it is operated by that keypad button. That's why you don't hear anything.

My 2012 521 keypad doesn't have the option to run only one of the livewell pumps. In all cases, they are on or off together. The livewell timer description is not intuitive for me. It has 3 settings - L, M, and H.

L = 1 minute on, 2 minutes off
M = 5 minutes on, 1 minute off
H = 15 minutes on, 2 minutes off

For comparison, it helps me compare the settings by considering them as follows:

L = 30 seconds ON, 1 minute off
M = 5 minutes ON, 1 minute off
H = 7.5 minutes ON, 1 minute off

The key pad has A1, A2, A3 for the accessories But this A is in the same area on the key pad as the Livewell controls.

We have the same exact keypad. The info I posted is direct from the Ranger owner manual on operation of the electrical system. As I said, the "A" button is an Accessory switch, and if connected by Ranger it's got an Oxygenator wired up.

Ranger says there are 5 total Accessory switches. A, A1, A2, A3 at the console, and the one at the bow, whatever that one is labeled. They don't say "but this doesn't mean the one over by the livewell control." That Accessory switch is by the livewell because if they use it at all, they are connecting the optional Oxygenator, get it?

Both pumps run together at the same time. There is no way to get them to operate separately with the factory wiring. It is possible to alter the factory wiring and add a switch so that an operator can choose whether to operate both pumps or just one. I suspect Ranger feels there are advantages to the dual pump system. The obvious one is that two pumps means that if one fails, the system still operates with the remaining pump.

The Ranger I have is my first one also. I agree with you on that panel not being exactly intuitive. I had to read the manual to figure it out. Now that I have, it's no big deal. They picked really funky duty cycle times for the 3 automatic livewell timer settings too. That's why I included that info.

I agree that with a large livewell and low fish load it should be possible to get by on just one pump running to save battery power. Leaving everything the same but simply adding the option to disable one pump (or not) is be simple to do and can be done in such a way that the boat could easily be returned to factory functional condition if desired. All it takes is some wire and a simple two contact SPST ON-OFF switch added at the console. I would interrupt the Ground circuit for the single pump that is NOT used for livewell pumpout.
