Went out last week and caught a few slots on traps, and seen a few up shallow roaming already. Anyone else having any luck?

went out yesterday for 3 hours,,,,,,no bites. They still have lock jaw.

Did either one of y'all get a water temperature reading ?

I am hearing the shallow bite is really starting to heat up out there... After this week and the warm weather it should be on fire. An 8.63 was caught out there about a week ago with many more fish upwards of 4 lbs.

We tore them up Sunday, they are in the freshly flooded grass and many of the bites came right next to shore within 1-2 feet!

By the time the sun started setting, you could throw almost anything shallow and catch em. white Spinnerbaits, white grubs produced a ton.

You can use any color lure you want as long at its white to catch those bass. I caught about 13, my dad caught about 7...also caught my first bowfin 3lb 7oz.. man those things are not very nice. Glad I decided not to put my finger in his mouth.. My dad caught this 5+lber from the athens fishery pond..people were freaking out there catching little trout when he pulled that out..and they caught an 8+lber there yesterday... They are on the beds in those ponds.
