I must admit I'm in my first major slump. I haven't caught one fish the past 5 times out to the lake. That's over 50 hours with nothing. I've gone back to the basics and confidence baits. What do you all suggest I do? What's your longest streak of zeroing out?

It's good to have two hobbies during the winter months. One day is enough for me; I just don't go back for more punishment. My second hobby is also Bass fishing but in Mexico this time of year.

Well why don't you just rub it in Donald lol...

Been tough for me also brother. I'm working the next ten days then heading off to the White River outside of Mountain Home, AR for a friends 40th. He's a guide up there so definitely looking forward to hanging out and hopefully catch some nice trout. I think it's just what I need to get me out of this slump and might as well get a couple of things done to the boat so will be GTG when I get back. I'm expecting the bite to a lot better by then.

If you guys are ever up in Northern Arkansas or Southern Missouri check him out...

Looks like we need to head to Broken Bow Mr. Mayo. Another big girl caught up there.

Bass fishing, I think my longest zero streak is one day. Musky fishing though, I've gone a whole week long trip. Now that is demoralizing. In any case, I think one of the best things you can do is fish away from the crowds. Try and get out in the middle of the week. If that doesn't work you may want to take up golf for a few more weeks.

That would be awesome. I've never fished the lake... yet! I have the river (Mountain Fork Creek) a few times for trout. Beautiful area. Reminds me of the Ozarks

Man, Broken Bow is on FIRE

I don't remember going more than 1 day without putting at least 1 in the boat.
I prefished Tawakoni last May for Bass Champs and after 3 trips I had a total of 4 fish in the boat. I felt like I forgot how to fish!
That being said, I'm not doing too good right now, been on Fork the last 2 Saturdays and caught one at the end of the day Sat before last and zeroed this past Saturday.
Fishing will be getting better each day so hang in there.
Heck if nothing else go spend a day on a power plant lake just to build you confidence back up.

Two years ago I fished 9 , 8 hour days on Roberts without one bite in the middle of the very cold winter of that year. To say my confidence was low is an understatement

I classify a slump as catching a few and zero as a drought....

Fished a power plant lake yesterday and it was tough. We caught about 10 and that seemed to be much better than some we had talked to.
