I fish Lake Conroe every chance I get but the summer crowds have me looking for a lake/pond where I can get a little solitude.
Just looking for a place to fish when Lake Conroe is too busy to really enjoy. And yes I do fish at night for the solitude. I see alot of bodies of water on my map-just don't know if they are private or not.

Stay north of 1097 on Conroe! Other than that I stay away after Memorial Day, and usually before that.
Not sure how far you want to go, but Houston County is good, Fayette, even parts of Livingston, or make the run to Rayburn. I fished with a small club the last two years and it got me to a lot of different lakes. Made a change this year to fish a tournament series as a co-angler.

Lake Raven up in Huntsville can be fun at times. Houston County is an awesome lake, but its a longer haul to Crockett. Sheldon Reservoir is a hidden gem to the southeast. Best lake for numbers hands down is Fayette.
