You guys need to follow me. Haha. I fish 3-4 days a week and make it a mission to catch AT LEAST a 5 fish weighable limit each time. 95% of the time I catch a limit. Very rarely I catch less. And almost never get skunked. If I am getting skunked, I'll chase whites for an hour to give the rods and reels a little workout.

I usually switch it up, go somewhere new and start looking for them. It does not have to be a different lake. Pull out a map, locate an area you have not tried and go fishing!

Book you an instructional trip with me on the lake your struggling with. You can see another way to approach the lake that is giving you trouble.

We've gone three trips without a fish along with a dead cranking battery, kicking a brand new mount into the water (but not the new Lowrance) and breaking a new rod. Things will improve...have to, right? Right?

Go find a good farm pond and throw a senko. Best confidence booster I know of.

Quit fishing the past. Start trying different places and baits.

Slow down and focus on your bait presentation. Try to perfect your technique, the bites will come

For me, I go to a T-rigged black Berkley Power Worm. Usually it works. When it doesn't I go home and play guitar instead!

go to the dam, throw a small shakey head. Slump over! that's what I'd do if nothing else works.

Slumps are always the worst especially during the winter months, when it comes down to it I change species and target fish other than bass to hold me over until the bite gets hot again. Sometimes it makes you appreciate bass fishing that much more wink

First problem...roberts and fork aren't easy winter lakes at all. Yes people will catch fish but not often.
Squaw creek is a great place to go along with Welsh, Monti, Fairfield, Brandy Branch and so many other power plant lakes. If you are dead set on only fishing for bass in the winter, you should go to warm water lakes to help yourself out.
