From past experience, I've done extremely well on CC this time of year.
I don't see a current report though.

What's the scoop CC gang?
Is it is or is it ain't?

I hope structure fishing has turned the corner back to improving. Had my best day since early December with 37 caught: 19 whites, 12 short hybrids, 5 yellow bass and a legal hybrid. Twenty of these were at one spot and 17 at another - both on Clear Creek arm of lake. Yesterday I fished the Spillway Hump area and only caught 13. Water temp is back up to 53 from a low of 49. Of note is that a #3 Mepps is working best but still catching some on #4. Caught today's fish in 15 to 19 fow.

Caught another 44 Saturday and cleaned 30 for a friend's upcoming fish-fry. See pic. Not shown was a 25 1/2 inch female hybrid full of eggs - biggest hybrid for me in a good while. Like Friday, I caught these fish on main lake points in 13 to 19 fow in the Clear Creek fork of lake. One exception - I caught about half a dozen on East Hump - a deep hump 27 fow at its shallowest. Indicates water now clear enough to catch them deep with a spinner. Caught fish on #3 and #4 Mepps silver Aglia spinners.

Nice call fishing the shallow water Dennis. I've been catching hybrids consistently in the clear creek arm as well this year. I ran all over the lake Saturday trying to see what the fish were doing and found the best concentrations deep around the key ranch area and clear creek. I saw fish on 15' structure in clear creek, the tennis courts, and key ranch. However, your mepps technique seems to work much better than mine on structure oriented fish this time of year. Those fish were locked to the bottom and had an early spring graph look. Congrats on the 25.5" fatty. Thats an exceptional fish!

I can echo those two reports. Found whites in 15-20 ft of water out from Star Harbor. Caught on white/silver roostertails fished "Christian style" until the wind got strong enough to make my kayak too much work to hold on the point. Kept a couple and about to fry up some fish sandwiches right now.

Finally able to get back in the boat after surgery. Fishing the TTT Tournament at Toledo for Green fish this weekend and then headed to Cedar Creek next weekend. 3 month lay off has me craving some Striped fish action.

Caught another 34 Monday and, after taking off 3 days, another 41 today. Same places and same pattern.

More indication that structure fishing is back - caught 85 today in 5 hours: 55 whites, 19 keeper size yellow bass, 3 legal hybrids and 8 short hybrids. Left still catching fish. Caught them in 14 to 20 fow in 3 spots: Flagpole Point, 60 Acre Hump and Pitts Point. At Flagpole and Pitts Point they are hanging around the old roadbeds there. Caught most on #4 and some on #3 Mepps. Water temp creeping up to 56 -57 degrees probably has something to do with fishing picking up. I can move the Mepps a little faster now indicating fish are more active.
