I have stayed in a couple of places the last 3-4 trips there and am gonna try to spend 4-5 days there with the wife later this spring. Would like to stay someplace a bit nicer for her sake. Rates are pretty decent and it looks nice there from the boat ramp.

We stayed there for one of the BC tourneys last year. Loved it. Nice golf course too for a change of pace. Would only take my wife there or F&F on the Texas side if she was going.

Cypress Bend and Fin and Feather are the places I would look, depending on what part of the lake your fishing!

Stayed there with my family a year or so ago.

The good:
-pool area
-golf course
-Cleanliness and friendly great service
-Beautiful, relaxing, wooded location

The Bad:
-Rooms seemed old
-Restaurant was expensive but not very good. I am kind of a foodie and I expect a lot from a restaurant so may not be as bad as I thought. Breakfast buffet was OK, hard to mess up biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage.

Wife and daughter went to the spa there and they said it was "eh" whatever that means.

Bottom line, we would go back and stay but probably would not eat there.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Nice place to stay, expensive
Plan to eat else where, food very expensive
It is not directly on the water 2-3 mile drive to a ramp, maybe a little further
Would I stay again , yes-maybe -IDK. Have I stayed at better yes, have I stayed at worse ,defeinetly

Now if you have a camper and want to stay at the RV park or try to get one of their cabins!!!!!!!!!!

Cypress is a real nice place. Me and the wife used to stay there for all the BFL tourneys. They have a real good restaurant inside also.

I noticed some little cabins near the ramp (I think). Might look into that.

I believe Mark is talking about the cabins because he said " looks nice there from the boat ramp". You cant see the hotel resort from the ramp. The cabins that are right there on the lake are nothing fancy but they are nice, clean, and cozy. Have stayed there a number of times and never had a complaint. Most are easy in and out with your boat and some are on the water so you just pull your boat right on up to your cabin. Nice lil beach and playground area that you can walk to that my wife and kids always enjoy also. Another cool site that we used to use before we bought our place on the lake was www.vrbo.com . Search for Toledo bend and you will find a number of camps, cabins , houses on the lake for rent. Most even have reviews from prior guest. The reviews were always helpful to us.
