Could definitely tell it was valentines day yesterday. Dang near had the whole lake to myself. Saw 5 boats all day. Figured with the warmer week I would try a main creek and see if water temp had risen. 56 was the warmest I found. Started chunkin the blades followed by the square bill followed by the jig and even broke out the gitzit... (that's a tube for any of you youngsters).... Fished so slow I had to slap my face to stay awake kind of slow! No takers...No baitfish... Couldn't even get bit by a mosquito.... Said to myself the wind is my friend... Headed out to main lake points targeting brushpiles and balls of shad... DD22 followed by Yozuri lipless followed by crig... Had to slap my face twice kinda slow..... No takers.... Sure seems like the fishin is getting tougher and tougher. Still a great day on the lake.... Said to myself tomorrow is another day so I better get home and cook that steak dinner I promised this years Valentine.... He such a good ole dog! lol.... Fish On!

I was out there last Friday...and caught 1 fish (2.5 lb) shallow...only bite I got, on a weightless senko...warmest water I found was 54 degrees...if it keeps warming up this week, and the lake clears up a little maybe can find more bites..Talked to a couple of other fisherman and they also had managed just one fish...

I plan to take a shot at it tomorrow after work if I can. We'll see...
