Does anyone know what won the Media Fork Teams tournament today and how many boats fished?

No wonder the lake was so crowded today. No surprise that 5 lbs won. I fished a half day and didn't sniff a bite.

Me and my partner fish in separate boats all day and neither one of us had a bite nor saw a fish get caught.
It was like fishing in the Dead Sea!

WOW I feel very lucky after hearing what you guys are saying. I only had 8 or 9 all slot fish, and only had two other boats come in where I was at. I could hear boats running up and down the lake but could not tell it was crowded at all.
Water temps got up to 57 late in the day. I also would say the lake is about a week from really busting loose. It is so close.

I believe the over 5 lbs bag was disqualified. The anglers had Alabama Rigs on their deck. Fishing with the rigs was not allowed by the tournament. They said they were not aware the rig was not allowed. Pays to read the rules.

Talked to the angler who had the A-rig issue today. He has fished with us several years and we do not ban the a-rig. Hard lesson learned but they had 7 and change none of which came on the a-rig. I have witnessed season career Pro's make much more costly mistakes than this one.

That must have been a blistering out there yesterday. Hat off to those who caught fish.

Wow that was brutal. Does anybody know the water clarity above the 515 bridge?

Guys you really need to look at the rules every time you fish a trail... I hate when this happens but everyone needs to be following the same rules. I'm sorry this happened to those guys but I'm happy a MediaBass member noticed this and the integrity of the trail stays intact and that's a good thing.

You can use the A-Rig as long as it only has two hooks on it in Media I hope they knew this if that is all they had

Partners,,,,,, fishing in separate boats.
Interesting concept there Danny. 2 boat team covering twice the water.
Looked at rules for several trails and have not seen anyone that makes it illegal
What about the no communication part of rules ? Can you phone your partner if you get on fish and want him to come to your location ?

Anyone ever try this as a season long strategy ?

I don't think Danny states he was in a tournament.
I have done this in preparation in the past as a season long strategy. We both take our boats to pre-fish and stay in contact to make sure than we are not duplicating effort on the same areas. Worked out pretty good.
