For those going tomorrow, learn from my mistakes today. This was my first time ever on the lake. Fished a cove by the dam, north of it. Zero. Fished a crig, jig, chatter bait and trig on multiple points. Zero. Fished a cove across from the ramp. Zero. Tried a west cove north of the ramp. One 3lber on a green pumpkin and blue jig flipping trees in 12'.

Very tough day. I thought the fish at Squaw jump in the boat? LOL.

It didn't look like any of the other 80+ boats were catching many either. Anyone else do better than me? Care to share how you did it?

We boated 23 today with most off the blue flecks. Nothing over four pounds

That's the misconception of sqauw. They dang sure don't jump in the boat. It's a small lake and gets pounded. Having said that if you hit the right spot it can be fun.

Thanks. Iooked at the blue fleck worms and creatures in my bag and thought, no, the water looks better for watermelon or green pumpkin. Oh well. The jig fish was fun. Hit the bait after it sat for a bit and then I pulled it over a log.

It fished tough for me a couple weeks back. I'm ready to give it another shot though.

Went for the first time today with a friend of mine who shall remain nameless and we boated 7 and lost the biggest one of the day next to the boat. Also caught two catfish on back to back casts on a Carolina rig. First time on it but won't be the last time for sure. Loved the lake.

we caught about 20 today and biggest a little over 5 lbs.

There were some elite looking rigs out there today for sure. The clientele was a little different than most lakes.

It wouldn't have mattered what color you were throwing as long as you were in the right area. The bigger Squaw fish want it slowwwww. Keep the bait moving and you won't get bit.
